In this post, I am going to show how to set up tracking for Google Analytics App and Web Property via GTM (Google Tag Manager).

Follow the Step to Setting Up Tracking for Google Analytics App + Web
Step 1: Open Google Analytics and navigate to the admin section. Then click on the Create Property.
Step 2: Then select the data streams you want to connect, let’s select the web
Step 3: You have the fill the information in the Data Streams like URL and Stream name.
Step 4: You will see all the details on the screen and copy the measurement ID.
Step 5: Log in to the Google Tag Manager (GTM) and then navigate to the container where you want to implement Web and App Property.
Step 6: Click on the Variable Tab

Step 7: Scroll Down, and you will see User-Defined variables, Click on the New tab.
Step 8: Name your new variable with some name and click on the variable configuration.
Step 9: Select the Constant variable type.
Step 10: Enter the Measurement ID in the Value field and click on the Save Button.
Step 11: Click on the Tags tab and then click on new Tags, choose the Google Analytics: App + Web Configuration.
Step 12: In the Measurement ID – Select the User Defined variable you have made.
Keep this value tick – Send a page view event when this configuration loads
Step 13: Click on the trigger and Select All Pages to trigger and save the Tag.
Step 14: Open the Preview Mode in Google Tag Manager and look for the “Google Analytics – App + Web” under the Tag Fired.
Step 15: You can leave the preview mode now and you can click on the SUBMIT button to push the code to the live version.
