How to Create a Messenger Greeting for Your Facebook Page
- From your News Feed, click Pages in the left menu.
- Go to your Page.
- Click Settings from the left menu on your Page.
- Click Messaging in the left column.
- Next to Show a Messenger greeting, click to select On
- Click Change, edit the greeting, then click Save.
Step 1: From your News Feed, click Pages in the left menu.
When you log in to Facebook the first page you visit is Facebook News Feed page. From there you click Pages options in the left menu.

Step 2: Go to your Page
When you click on pages, you will see all the pages you are having access.
You have to click on the page in which you want to create a messenger greeting for your Facebook Page.

Step 3: Click Settings from the left menu on your Page.
Once you have opened your Facebook page then you have to select Settings options from the left menu.

Once you click on the Settings options Settings page will appear.
Step 4: Click Messaging in the left column.
From the Settings page, you have to select the Messaging option from the left menu again.

Once you click on the Messaging it will open up your Messaging settings for Facebook Messenger.
Step 5: Next to Show a Messenger greeting, click to select On
When you scroll the Messaging settings page you will see a section Starting a Messenger Conversation.
Under the heading, you have to toggle on the option to make it work. By default, this option will be off.

Step 6: Click Change, edit the greeting, then click Save.
Once you have toggled on, you have to click on change. Facebook will automatically create a standard greeting on your behalf and you can edit the message & click on the save button.
